In early February, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) announced new leadership for Alfa Romeo. Tim Kuniskis is now the Head of Alfa Romeo and Maserati globally. He has been a pivotal part of the FCA organization for 26 years and was most recently Head of Passenger Car Brands in North America.
The former Head of Alfa Romeo and Maserati, Reid Bigland, will now continue to serve as Head of U.S. Sales and President and CEO of FCA Canada.
Sergio Marchionne, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), FCA, said, “Today’s announcement allows Tim to dedicate his efforts solely on the next chapter of these storied brands. In North America, with the execution of our industrial plan now well underway, shifting from cars to SUVs and trucks, Reid’s complete attention will be placed on accelerating sales growth in the U.S. and Canada.
In addition, this announcement comes right on the heels of Alfa Romeo having a very good month of sales in January. The brand sold 1,648 vehicles, which is a significant increase when compared to January of 2017. Leading the brand were the Giulia and Stelvio.
At Corwin Alfa Romeo FIAT, we are excited to see where Kuniskis can take these performance brands in the coming years.
