It’s been a long time since the United States has seen a four-door model from Alfa Romeo. German brands have dominated the luxury sport sedan market for a long while now but there’s a new challenger entering the race. The Alfa Romeo Giulia is a four-door sport sedan that offers a lightweight engine that will give every sport sedan on the market a run for its reputation.
The 2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia has its sights set on BMW and Mercedes-Benz. Under the hood is a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine made of aluminum. Mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission, the Giulia speeds off with 276 hp and a 0-to-60 time of 5.5 seconds.
The Alfa Romeo Giulia comes standard with leather seats, adjustable driving modes, Dynamic, Natural, and Advanced Efficiency, as well as a flat-bottom steering wheel with push-button start.
That’s just the base model.
The top-of-the-line Giulia Quadrifoglio boasts a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 engine capable of pumping out a massive 505 hp. That engine rockets off with a 0-to-60 time of just 3.8 seconds. Details are still a little scarce, but the top trim will feature a Race option on the adjustable driving mode selector as well as many other standard features.
We here can’t wait to see the all-new Giulia in action!
